Don't know when it opened.
Had a party of 4 on Saturday at 8pm. Walked in with no reservation and was seated right away.
It's open
Fantastic restaurant for Mexican fare. The food was fresh and flavourful and our server was very friendly and attentive. The pork belly tacos were very tender and the fajitas were sizzling! The fajitas also come with a bit of fresh guacamole. Would definitely recommend a visit!
The supernatural combination burrito here is so good that it made me come here twice in three days to get while I am here on a work trip. I need this place to open a restaurant where I live so I can get it any time I want. Next time I'm visiting here, it will definitely be on my places to eat dinner list.
Sit at the bar, and order a house margarita. You'll get great service and hot chips. The salsa is really good. The street tacos and fish tacos are good too. The fajitas are tasty as well as the supernatural burrito. Save room for dessert-- the flan and churros are fantastic!
Good Mexican food in Walnut Creek. They have broad cocktail selection and live music. Patio seating is really nice on a good weather day. Food is really tasty with very large portions. Although the price could add up really quick with drinks and appetizers! Good place for large groups and families.
Great staff and amazing food the burrito tasted amazing I definitely will be returning here!
All the expected Mexican style dishes. I tried the mole which was good but not as good as some... maybe no chocolate? No salt, pepper, or hot sauces. No sides either, which makes the prices somewhat higher than expected. Good staff and service. Second visit and i got the enchiladas suizas. Excellent sauce and good flavors. Interesting having shaved Pasillas flakes as a garnish!
Not authentic Mexican food, I didn't like it at all. Chilaquilles were made of tortilla chips, Huevos Rancheros were horrible, shrimp burrito was ok, but I've had much better. We ordered mojitos they were disappointing. Blue Moon beer was in it's glass bottle so it was fine. Out of all food the best was the chips, salsa and guacamole we ordered and the Blue Moon beer. Service was wonderful. Restaurant is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Only paid off street parking is available or across the street at the library also paid parking. Handicap accessible. Beautiful creek runs on side of restaurant. It's pricey for me, I don't mind when food is good but it was not to my expectations.
Really good food! And the employees are really nice!
Great atmosphere, delicious food for a good price
Food was amazing! I do wish Danville was still open so we didn't have to drive to walnut creek and pay for parking.
MM is the only place on Broadway that does it big when it comes to CDM partying. I stopped by check out the scene had a drink and watch mariachi performance then came back at night. Outside patio is lively with no end as people stream in by the group. Extra help was seen on this special day as workers jump from person to person, or table to table. When inside became claustrophobic people spilled into sidewalk partying the night away. I had a fun evening doing activities that I normally won't do if it wasn't for this special day. Choose a designated driver.
Good service, good prices, nice ambiance.
Nice portions and good spice, but a little pricey
Great Mexican Restaurant! Authentic environment and good food.Mango salad and Super natural burrito are my favorite dishes.
Best mexican food i have ever tried. Highly recommended
Quick and polite service. The spinach and mushroom fajitas minus the cheese is a solid vegan option and was delicious. No vegan dessert options. Generous serving of guacamole. The salsa however was ruined by huge chunks of charred matter which is terribly unhealthy and disgusting tasting. Good ambiance with outdoor patio seating overlooking the creek. Music volume was just right.
Always great service, awesome food and drinks. They even have live music on Fridays.
Amazing Mexican-inspired food. The steak was very tasty and the sauce was the perfect amount of spicy. The outdoor seating area is perfect for a spring day
The restaurant has a new abbreviated menu which was a little disappointing. Entrees tend to start around $16 and the portions are average. Quality is average as well; no outstanding meal to be had here. We love hot food and the waiter provided us with a habanero salsa and a salsa verde which were definitely spicy!! The restaurant takes reservations which is a plus for busy weekends. If you want seating that is somewhere in between outdoor/indoor, ask to be seated on the back patio, which is covered and adjoins the creek.
Umm... Amazing! Staff is very attentive and food is up to par. You are reading this review for too long, stop it and go have a dinner there.
Stopped here for lunch and it was good not great. The restaurant is in a great location and the inside brings a very nice atmosphere. The food was a little pricey but was pretty good. The service was very friendly. I would definitely come here again.
Fantastic experience with incredible food. Wish Carlos could be here! Could not recommend more highly.
The margaritas are a bit expensive but delicious. Our service was very slow but it does have good parking and a huge outdoor patio!
Great food. A bit pricy. Good outdoor seating area.
The flavors here are unique and the ingredients are high quality. Chicken tortilla soup for an appetizer was amazing, the small size was a nice portion to share and had fresh corn, avocado and lots of chicken. The steak burrito was very big and had some excellent flavors that were again very unique. The churros and ice cream were some of the best churros I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back often.
Unlike other stores or restaurants around the area, very nice and welcoming to customers from any cultural background. Personally, the food tastes good for me. Also, the plate is biiigg.
I got the carne Maria tacos. Steak had a lot of flavor!! 🔥
Great atmosphere and decent Mexican fare. Salad and the salmon dish were delicious, but the mole lacked depth of flavor. Margaritas are delicious. Service is awesome too.
The seafood ceviche is awesome, not on the menu, also the virgin spicy margarita amazing
Good food and great service. Got the meal served very quickly.
Great tasting food. Try the supernatural borrito with everything. Large portions as well. Good price for Walnut Creek area. Out door patio area is cool. If you like your food spicy you must try the hot sauce on the side.
This Mexican restaurant is located in downtown Walnut Creek. The food was tasty and the portion sizes decent. Indoor and outdoor seating (on the covered back patio or in front of the restaurant). Friendly and fast service. Separate party room for large groups. Well stocked bar.
The food was kind of mediocre. We didn't witness the preparation of the food, but after ordering, the food (for 3 people) arrived in under 10 minutes. In one sense, this is a good thing, but in another it calls into question how much of this food is freshly made versus just sitting around. The ambiance is lackluster, but the service was prompt and courteous.
Had an order of Nachos (~$6 @ happy hour): pico de gallo, refried beans, pickled onion, cilantro, and jalapeños (made vegan with crema & cheeses withheld). Also had an order of Guacamole (~$5 @ happy hour), a side of beans and rice (~$4), & tortillas (~$1) - for impromptu burritos. Food was delicious, staff was tuned-in (to ESPN), and the atmosphere was creekside (with accompanying CA weather).
This is a Excellent restaurant great food and wine.
It's a nice place.A better place than on the border, but if you go around 50 min before the closing time the chef is in a hurry as in the past couple of times our sizzling steak fajitas were not cooked properly and chicken fajitas are not that great.
We’ve been long time fans of Maria Maria and since they’re now closed in Danville, we tried the Walnut Creek location and it was just as awesome! Ambience, food and service all were great! Their supernatural Burrito was amazing, and so were their fajitas. For those who like spicy food, do request their habanero sauce (add a pinch or two of salt, and it tastes even better)Our server Diana was very friendly and gave us service with a smile! Will continue to come and eat!
The ribs here are great, so is the service. The side dishes are also excellent. The prices on the food appears a little high. The menu is more limited than what I thought it would be and I'm giving it a 5-star even though they don't have carne asada.
When visiting my daughters in Walnut Creek that is where we always go for lunch , there is an out door patio so on a nice day you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the city and the fresh air . Maria Maria is pet friendly so your furry friends can also dine with you on the patio. They also have a very nice room for special events ...my daughter had her bridal shower there and it was beautiful we had a special menus to order from and the room was open and airy. My daughters love this place and I have become an as well I would check into it if you are planning a party or special event or just want a day on the patio for lunch you can dine inside as well.
The dish I ordered was bland and expensive. However, the environment is suitable for groups and the food is aesthetically pleasing.
This isnt your average taco joint. This classy little spot has some unique takes on wildly popular mexican dishes. Had the Supernatural, and i dont know what is in the sauce, but it was delish, and paired with Negra Modelo made my day.
I took my mom and best friend to this location and we all had a fabulous experience.Carlos our waiter was excellent, providing suggestions from drinks to food. I had the Baja tacos, my mom had the supernatural burrito and my mothers friend had the street tacos all of us loved our plates and shared chicken flautas which were just as good.I will go again to visit the Walnut Creek location. If you want great tasting Mexican food and great margaritas you will not be disappointed.
Dinner with my family. Excellent
Good food and great location. The staff were very accommodating. I personally liked the supernatural burrito with the combination steak and shrimp. The sauces are all grown organic and made in house.
We love coming here for the happy hour and live music. The bartenders are always friendly and big screens over the bar makes watching a game enjoyable. Not much seating in the bar area but outside on warm days is enjoyable. The chips and salsa is great. My favorite dish is the spinach salad with shrimp. For happy hour we had guacamole, ribs and sampler tacos. Great time.
Have come here about a dozen times over the last few years. It’s really good. Foods delicious. Shrimp fajitas are my favorite. Not “authentic” per say. More Mexican inspired really, but done really well with quality ingredients. Vibe is cool. Service is slightly hit and miss. Most of the time it’s great but a couple times I’ve gotten some attitude from a server. Usually young and pretty, maybe hired for that reason. It’s kind of expensive but that’s kinda what you’d expect from location/quality of ingredients.
Good food, nice service
Incredible food! The bar staff is so nice and pleasant. Favorite place to eat in WC by far. I just wish they were open later but that’s just greedy thinking. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and great service.
Awesome food. Great plates. Had the pepper steak. It was excellent.
One of my main places to grab some food. great location, always clean, and excellent customer service. A must try!
